Lea Mini Doll & Book Set - Adorable Collectible Toy with Storybook for Kids - Perfect Gift for Birthdays, Christmas, and Pretend Play

This is for my 6 year old granddaughter who wants an 18" full-size American Girl doll for Christmas. This is a very small doll and it comes with a real doll-size book. She is very excited about having this doll which she can easily take with her inside a backpack or purse. Too small to purchase any additional clothes, etc.LOVE this Lea mini doll!! Great AG quality doll...and as far as the book goes, I did not try to read it since we were really interested in the doll. (This small sized doll is much easier to take to dinner than her 18" counterpart.) Since the value on Amazon is so good (half price versus what you pay for in the AG store), we got more than one and they can all easily go along with my 5 yr old. The hair is easy to brush and style and the clothes can be swapped around. The plastic bodies are durable, easy to move and easy to clean. We plan to give these as birthday party favors this summer, too. Highly recommend.I got this as a gift for our daughter. She loves all things American Girl doll, but I could not justify another girl of the year for her. This was a really nice compromise. She actually says that Grace has her own little girl now. The quality is excellent and the book is the actual book. You could read it but you would need some serious reading glasses! It's a four point font or so. Super quick shipping and I asked for a refund of the price difference when the item dropped in price. Excellent customer service from Amazon.We bought the Kaya, Josefina, and Lea mini dolls for Christmas this year, and have been impressed. Not only are the dolls very sturdy, but the clothes and accessories seem to be as well. The attention to detail in the accessories is also really cool. These dolls have been in non-stop use since they were opened, and are definitely one of the favorite toys this Christmas.I like her. Skin tone is good and the hair is nice. The little dress is well made.The little book is an accessory: sure it has words, but frankly I see it as perfect for the 18" size to hold. Little girl reads to her doll, doll is reading to her little doll. The books that come with the full size dolls or the mini sets are for reading, but this is a good way to introduce the idea of reading the stories.This little doll is absolutely adorable, and a great addition for any doll collector. I love that she comes with her own miniature book.She's definitely a LOT smaller than the original but that's pretty much the reason I got it. It's for my 3 year-old and I knew she wouldn't be ready for a normal sized one. This one is perfect for now. The doll stands up on it's own and seems to be of the same material as the original.Bought it for granddaughter for birthday and she loved it.I bought it for my 7 year old daughter. It was smaller than expected but she's very pleased with it.My daughter received the large American girl doll for her birthday, this is exactly like the 18" doll but portable. It is a good buy that I had to buy 2 of themI am not keen on the new GOTY doll but I always buy the mini dolls. The mini Lea doll is very cute. Her skin is darker than a lot of the others but it makes a nice change in my collection. Her hair is soft and was tied back to protect it from damage though I don't really think it looks like the big Leas it is still pretty. Her dress is very nice, I like the colours and her sandals are cute too. I like the fact her sandals are attached with rubber bands because it stops the tiny shoes falling off and getting lost. If you are not looking to get 18 inch Lea like me I highly suggest the mini. She is very cute and perfect for any mini doll collection.
