The Book of Shadowboxes: ABC Learning Story Book for Kids - Perfect for Early Childhood Education & Bedtime Reading

I first saw this book in 1994, when a neighbor child brought it with him when I babysat. He had received it from his Grandma in Georgia, and when I fell in love with it and went looking for our own copy in NY, I found it unavailable. I ordered a copy from the publisher, and my son absolutely loved it, even memorizing the entire book! I ordered another copy for my grandson 10 years later (still not available in bookstores), and now have ordered it for another grandchild (praise the Lord for Amazon.com!). Our entire family loves this book, and it has become a favorite shower gift for extended family and friends! I especially loved the rhymes for each letter of the alphabet, and the new "take" on words that begin with the letter. For instance, "A is for apple, but that's nothing new" struck a chord with me as a preschool teacher! I was thrilled to see "apricots" as another choice, because whoever thinks of that? The pictures are delightful, and the early connection to "I Spy" exercises is an added treat. I couldn't recommend it any more highly! Thank you, Laura Seeley!
