This light is perfect for reading while reading in bed next to a sleeping partner. The light is bright but not powerful enough to disturb anyone in a close vicinity. The flexibility is great and allows you to angle the light appropriately. The brightness is definitely adequate. My hope is that this will encourage nighttime reading for my 8-year-old when she's having a hard time getting to sleep.I actually decided to use this light for one of my micro planted fish tanks & it works perfectly. Only thing is after one day it’s super dull.I love this little light. It works as a bookmark, is flexible, can even stand by itself if you need both hands to hold the book. It is cute, light, easy to use. It is also insanely bright. Brighter than my bedside lamp. The first time I used it, I put it inside my fist and it was still bright enough to read by. Bonus: I could see all the veins in my hand. I put a piece of medical tape over the bulb and it is still too bright, but better. I can't think of a place or reason a booklight that bright would be useful, unless you're in a tent in the middle of the wilderness and you need to take a bathroom break. If you're looking for a tiny portable sun, this is your booklight. If you're looking for something to read with in the dark, you're going to have to modify this light. Get out your tape.This light is really bright. Stays on the book really well and is flexible so you can move it into different positions.My only complaint is the battery. Is is not secure at the back and so really easy to get in to. It’s a button battery and so dangerous for young children. Should not be accessible without a screwdriver.This is my new must have thing. I have a long term concussion so anything less than perfect lighting totally destroys my ability to read comfortably before i bought this, it's lightweight, flexible, bright white and will easily illuminate a book that lays flat and is the same size as a sheet of a4 (also clipped it to the draft of my dissertation to proofread so that's not an idle statement) and slips into bag/pocket for easy transport.This is perfect! It’s bright and light and great for snuggling up in bed for some reading before you go to sleep!The product is lightweight and pretty but for me it isn’t functional.Lots of reviews say it’s really bright but I find its not strong enough and I still get eye strain. The small arm means it lights the top of the page but towards the bottom it isn’t bright enough. I also have to switch it from side to side when I turn the page. If I bend the light towards the other page the light isn’t strong enough and it falls off.Bottom line is that it doesn’t make for comfortable and undisrupted reading.Very portable and cute. The light is bright enough too. However bare in mind it will likely disrupt other people in the room trying to sleep because it's quite a harsh white. Also bare in mind that the clip will leave indent marks on the back of paperback books if frequently used and it cannot be clipped onto hardbacks because they are too thick for the clip. Alternatively you can use the thicker inner pages of a hardback to clip it to. I would also reccomend buying a spare pair of batteries for when the ones included run out as I've noticed mine dimming (type needed - lithium cell CR2016 3V) . But overall happy with my purchase for times of travel and at home during the night.
